HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN IBU MENYUSUI TERHADAP STATUS GIZI BAYI 0-6 BULAN DAN TINGKAT KECUKUPAN GIZI IBU DI PUSKESMAS KARANG TUMARITIS

Unbalanced diet of breastfeeding mothers can affect breast milk and affect to nutritional status in infants, because breast milk is the only food for babies. One of the triggers of low nutritional status at the age of 0-6 months is low exclusive breastfeeding. Objective: the ojective of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of breastfeeding mothers on the nutritional status of infants 0-6 months and the level of maternal nutritional adequacy at UPTD Puskesmas Karang Tumaritis, Nabire Regency. Method: This type of research was quantitative with an observational analytical design using a cross sectional study design. The research location is at UPTD Puskesmas Karang Tumaritis, Nabire Regency during February to July 2023. The sample used was 30 respondents with total sampling techniques. Results: There was a significant relationship between knowledge of nutritional status with a p-value of 0.00<(0.05) and energy adequacy with a p-value of 0.02<(0.05) and there was no relationship between knowledge of protein adequacy level with a p-value of 0.09 >(0.05) and maternal fat with a p-value of 0.08>(0.05). Conclusions: There was a significant relationship between knowledge of nutritional status and energy adequacy and there was no relationship between knowledge of maternal protein and fat adequacy. Suggestion: The results of this study can be used as reading material and reference to conduct further research, especially related to nutrition of breastfeeding mothers and exclusive breastfeeding for infants 0-6 months.
